Ways of properly cooking all kinds of Rice

- Arborio Rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 1 ½ cup of water is needed
- Place rice and water into a saucepan and heat until boiling
- Cover with lid, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20 minutes
- Fluff and serve
- Basmati Rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 1 ¼ cup of water is needed
- Rinse and drain the rice 2-3 times
- Place rice, water and salt in a saucepan
- Bring to a boil
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10- 15 minutes
- Remove heat and let sit, covered for 5 minutes
- Fluff before serving
- Jasmine Rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 1 ¾ cup of water is required
- Place rice and water into a saucepan and heat until boiling
- Cover with lid, reduce heat to low and simmer for 40 minutes
- Keeping lid on, remove from heat and let sit 10 more minutes
- Fluff and serve
- Long grain Brown Rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 2 cups are needed
- Place rice and water into a saucepan and heat until boiling
- Cover with lid, reduce heat to low and simmer for 50 minutes
- Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes
- Fluff and serve
- Long Grain White rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 2 cups od water are required
- Bring water to a boil
- Add rice and stir to combine
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes
- Remove from heat, fluff and serve
- Medium Grain White Rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water are needed
- Bring water to a boil
- Add rice and stir to combine
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes
- Remove from heat, fluff and serve
- Parboiled Rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 2 ¼ cups are needed
- Place rice and water to a saucepan
- Bring to a boil
- Bring heat down to low and simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes
- Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes, covered
- Short grain white rice
- For 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water are needed
- Rinse 2-3 times with water
- Add rice and water to a saucepan with a lid
- Bring to boiling, cover and reduce to low heat
- Simmer, covered, for about 25 minutes
- Remove from heat, fluff and serve
- Wild Rice
- For 1 cup of wild rice, 4 cups are needed
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil
- Bring temperature down to low and simmer for 30 minutes, covered lightly
- Turn off the stove and leave the pan on the burner for 30 more minutes, or until it has reached the desired texture
- Drain any remaining liquid and serve
